You Hair Life vs. The Met Gala

You Hair Life vs. The Met Gala

Although it’s called the “Oscars of Fashion,” the hairstyles and hair accessories seen at the Met Gala just passed were as fabulous as the wardrobes. From Camila Cabello’s floral adorned updo, to Teyana Taylor’s wild headpiece, to Jared Leto’s ‘twinning’ long hair, to both Laura Harrier and Maude Apatow setting their hair into 1920’s style “finger waves,” it all looked amazing. Kim Kardashian even set to dying her hair blonde paying homage to Marilyn Monroe while squeezing into M.M.’s infamous “Happy Birthday Mr. President” slinky dress (read about it here).

There truly was variety galore across the red carpet of the Metropolitan Museum this past Monday.

Variety in haircut, color, and style is something Guci Image considers well. Beyond making sure to introduce the latest hair replacement techniques and the very best hair restoration wigs, extensions and units, we as much address each client’s individual needs while we continue to push the boundaries, encourage experimentation, and note trends in the work we do.

Although none of us are readily walking a red carpet on a regular basis (or paying up to $30,000 for a seat at a table at the Met Gala), how we look to just those folks we pass every day in Northern N.J. (where Guci Image is located) is still of primary importance. This is why people come to a hair restoration/replacement salon in the first place…they care about how they look, want to look younger, and want to do so by utilizing the very best and undetectable methods available.

Celebrities like any of the Jenner-Kardashian clan, Lizzo, or anyone we might have read a Twitter post about attending the Met Gala, are consistently primped, spritzed, and all but styled in their limos anytime they appear at some sort of big paparazzi event. Most hair wearers we know do not live with this luxury. Instead, a Guci Image customer relies on exemplary hair, styles, cuts, and colors of their hair replacement to look great all the time.

Sure, Kim K. dropped some serious weight to fit into Marilyn’s dress, but you trump her attempts with the hair you wear all the time.
