Aevin Dugas Sets A Record and Why We Should Care

There is being noticed for your hair…and then there is being so noticed that Guinness comes a’calling.

USA posted an article this week about Aevin Dugas. This is a lady who sports a world-record-making afro. It measures 9.84 inches tall, 10.24 inches wide, and 5.41 feet in circumference, and marks the third time Dugas has set the record with her hair. Stopping the use of ‘straighteners’ back in 1999 for fear of what those chemicals could do to her hair, Aevin ‘went natural.’ And although, through the years, she has received plenty of criticism for letting her natural style grow out—and out and out!—like her mom before her, she proudly showcases (and Aevin actually sets records) with the natural hair she sports.

Being noticed is an interesting conundrum for the Guci Image hair wearer.

Our clients do want their hair to be considered, as far as for its luscious locks, great style, natural color, and how what they wear, be it extensions or hair pieces, makes them look so young. But that’s about it!

Closer scrutiny in the hair replacement/hair restoration world is not what we seek. And indeed, if there is closer scrutiny, your hair replacement studio is not doing its job.

If we at Guci Image do our job right (which we do), further consideration of your hair from your family and friends rarely happens. Undetectable additions and fully natural-looking hair pieces are what we are after at our N.J.-hair restore salon. The only world-record accolades we’d ever want is to be the very best in what we do without anyone other than our clients knowing what we do.

Still, it is pretty neat that a lady can be known for and make the famous Guinness book for something she naturally allows and is so proud of.

As we all should be proud of the hair we wear.
