You hear the cry of ‘Jersey Strong,’ all the time running a hair replacement salon in northern N.J. And recently, it has been ever more difficult not to get swept up in the concern over when business will get back to business in our state to make it strong again. At Guci Image, this has been our most recent pressing concern, as you know from reading this blog. We certainly want to get back to servicing our valued customers.
The case of the Atilis Gym in Bellmawr raises the question of when will we all get back to work to a whole other level. That gym’s owners Frank Trumbetti and Ian Smith, defied an executive order by New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy by opening their gym this week. And although the Bellmawr police department sent officers to charge Trumbetti and Smith with a summons, they assured their customers, reporters and their growing Facebook audience that they will not close the gym unless they are behind bars. In a sure sign of the times, a GoFundMe began to cover expenses the gym might incur (legal, etc.) in their fight.
As we have mentioned when you return to Guci Image (hopefully soon, although we won’t be defying any executive orders) and as Atilis is doing, we will operate at a smaller capacity. Our new safety policy also demands that clients and technicians wear facemasks at all times, and people entering our Paramus, NJ hair care salon will have their temperature taken. Those registering a fever will be asked to leave.
“Safety first,” wins out over “Jersey Strong,” in how Guci Image looks to the future. We have always had your best interests at heart, and will continue to put you first in how we conduct business…business, we surely know we will indeed be getting back to conducting soon. We can’t speak to or for an Atilis Gym, or anyone other business, even those in our immediate vicinity of Paramus/Hohokus/Ridgewood and Allendale. All we can do is move ahead in the best way we know how, getting back, when we can, caring for you and the hair you wear in the safest way possible.
