The most common reason for hair loss in genetically inherited. It is not easy to control hair loss which is hereditary. Genetic hair loss is also called as androgenetic alopecia. In other words, you can call it female or male pattern baldness. Hormonal changes, aging and genetics cause hair loss in men and women. Males are more prone to suffer from androgenetic alopecia as compared to females.

Another drug also FDA approved and suitable for both men and women is Minoxidil. Apart from reducing hypertension issue, the oral drug helps to promote hair growth on the scalp. Some research studies indicate that it stimulates hair follicles and opens up potassium channels which serves as an evidence that Minoxidil is the perfect solution for promoting hair growth.

Some experts believe that the combination of Minoxidil and Propecia can be an effective treatment for hair loss problem. If you stop using Minoxidil or Propecia, you will possibly lose hair which has been retained through intake of these drugs. Women can hide their baldness problem using hair extension or hair weaving or change of hairstyles and change their appearance.
